Remarks: Mantoux test is a skin test where tuberculin PPD (an inactivated antigen of Mycobacterium spp, the organism that causes tuberculosis) is injected intradermally on the forearm. After 72 a swelling of more than 10 mm in the place of the injection indicates positive Mantoux reaction. In this case the patient has been in contact with tuberculosis.
