Range: A positive IgG test indicates past contact with the parasite.
Remarks: Infection with malaria (Plasmodium parasites) may result in a wide variety of symptoms, from absent or very mild symptoms to severe disease. The incubation period in the blood in most cases varies from 7 to 30 days.
