Range: HAV IgM positive result indicates possible current infection
Remarks: Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is transmited by fecal-oral route, with and incubation time from 2 to 7 weeks. HAV IgM antibodies develop within 1 week of symptoms onset, reaches a pick value about 2,5 months later and usually disapears 6 months after. HAV IgG antibodies indicate past infection somewhere n the past o immunity to the HAV after vaccination.
