Remarks: CA 15-3 (Carbohydrate Antigen 15-3) is used in follow-up patientes for recurrence of breast cancer. Often is used in combination with CEA to monitor responce to therapy. CA 15-3 is more sensitive than CEA in the detection of recurrent cancer of the breast. As most of cancer markers, CA 15-3 should not be used as screening test for breast cancer.
