Remarks: APTT( Activated Partial Thromboplastin Time) is used to assess deficiency or inhibition of factors in the intrinsic pathway or contact factors ( high molecular weight kininogen (HMWK), prekallikrein and factors XII along with procoagulant factors XI, IX, VIII, X, V, prothrombin, and Fibrinogen). Non-specific, lupus anticoagulants is also assessed with the APTT test.
