Remarks: Anti Transglutaminase antibodies (both IgA and IgG) are used in the diagnosis of gluten-sensitive enteropathies.The presence of specific antibodies (Gliadin, Reticulin, and Endomysium) are associated with gastrointestinal disorders related to celiac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis, both caused by sensitivity to gluten. Total restriction of gluten in the diet will control the symptoms, and antibodies in serum is expected to disappear.
