Remarks: Autoimmune myositis is an inflammatory disease characterised by chronic inflammation of striated muscle and sometimes of the skin ((polymyositis and dermatomyositis respectively). Autoantibodies associated with Myositis are that to nuclear and/or cytoplasmic antigens: Anti Jo-1, Anti Ku, Anti Mi-2, Anti U1-RNP, AntiPM/Scl, Anti-(SS-A), anticentromere, antimitochondrial and others.
