Venous Thromboembolism diseases

Samples: Frozen Citrate Plasma, frozen Serum and cold Whole EDTA Blood needed for all tests

Remarks:Venous thrombosis occurs when RBCs, Fibrin, Platelets and Leukocytes form a mass within a vein. Pulmonary embolism occurs when a thrombus detaches from a vein wall and lodges within the pulmonary arteries. More than 70% of all pulmonary emboli have origin in the pelvic and deep veins of the lower extremities.
