Range: 1:16 or more indicates past infection
Remarks: CMV infection is a common intrauterine congetinal infection. It is also important in immunocompromissed patients (trasplant recipients, neoplastic diseases and AIDS). A high titer must be confirmed with CMV IgM test in order to rule out current infection.
